This retrospective of the work of Simon Hantaï, one of the major artists of the second half of the 20th century, gives us for the first time the opportunity to discover the totality of his complex, poetic, and singular oeuvre. The exhibition illuminates Hantaï's development over his career, from the first Surrealist canvases to the astonishing writing-paintings.
